Daoist Fellowship

The Daoist Foundation facilitates a variety of fellowship programs, in which individuals without direct contact with or involvement in our community are provided resources and support. At the present time, these activities include the following:

Intra-religious Guidance

The Daoist Foundation assists Daoist teachers and practitioners with deepening their understanding and practice. This includes correspondence concerning the history and defining characteristics of the Daoist religious tradition and assistance with addressing the challenges of transmitting, adapting and applying Daoism to new cultural contexts.

National and International Relationships

Members of the Daoist Foundation travel extensively. In the process, we have formed working relationships with a diverse spectrum of individuals and communities. They include scholars, teachers, practitioners, and students from various ethnic, regional and national backgrounds. We are committed to strengthening the global Daoist community, and we welcome various forms of communication and affiliation.

Prison Fellowship

The Daoist Foundation receives frequent inquiries and requests for materials and direction from people imprisoned throughout the United States. In the case of those who have committed non-violent offenses, we offer education about the religious tradition and direction for integrating Daoist principles and lifeways within a context of confinement. Part of this work includes distributing free educational literature.
